Al stilled and soon he found himself staring at the same patch of wall that his brother bore his sight into. Why couldn't they? Why couldn't they just... just-...

... be happy? be safe? be together? be loved...?

Be okay.

"Equivelant exchange, Niisan. If we give into this... we'll have nothing left."

"I'll give it all up!"

In one fluid motion Edward leaned forward, wrapping his arms tightly around Alphonse, his cheek pressing against his brother's as he tried to mask the ache in his voice that echoed the one in his chest. "What about the happiness we lost when mom died?! What about the pain we endured when Grandma Pinako fit us with the automail? I'll sacrifice another field, Al! I'll give my other leg, my other arm! If I have to give something in exchange than I will, just tell me!" He held Al tighter, pressing his face against his shoulder now. "Just let me know... if you think I should... or if it'd just be a waste."

Al felt as if his heart was breaking, painfully torn into by each plea that Ed gave. Edward was crumbling, begging, clinging. Edward was his foundation, but he was cracking, and so Alphonse had nothing to keep him steady, and he crumbled as well.

"Please don't," Al whispered back almost painfully. "Please don't, Niisan."

Good god, women. Do you even KNOW how crazy talented you are? The details in this piece are amazing and heartbreaking. I am totally fixated on Ed grabbing the back of Ed's shirt - so much emotion conveyed in that one small part of the whole. This piece is gorgeous. ;_;

And I wanna live in an AU where Al only lost his arms and not his body. Gah. That whole series just sets out to pummel you emotionally from start to finish. (Yet we all love it anyway. XD)

I am rather proud of the arms/hands :> Sai is such a glorious program to work in. I recommend it.

And- Yesss... such a lovely series FMA is though x: So much emotion. By the end of it I was chanting for hugs. HUGS DAMNIT!
