In my shallowest of dreams
I'm coming apart at the seams I could never do things right So I just forsake the fight Missing the words from my head Arbhoring a soul who loves the dead (random words that were running through my head when I drew this pic) Giving a shout to say I haven't forgotten about the angsty wraith! Reading up on livejournal I realized it had been quite a while since I've actually drawn any SoulReaver art. I decided it was time for nestalgia's sake to give Raziel a whirl with how I've come so far on OpenCanvas. So with Green Day - Boulevard of broken dreams practically on loop I was inspired for this pic. It works well for the boy. (and most any angsty thing in general X3) How you percieve the emotion is up to you-- from hopeful to despair... The tattered wings seem to look like things from smoke tendrels, trees to space nebulas.. I just hope you share what you think and feel with me ^^ Drawn on OpenCanvas, a touch of colour added with Photoshop Comments
 I'm surprised nobody's commented on this - the wings look like they've been painted with a chinese brush, really nice effect. ^^
 That is the most amazing paint effect I've seen with digital artwork! Love the wispy/smokey look of the wings.
 pretty O_o looks like really detailed watercolours very cool ^_^ and i like the smokey effect. both hope and despair seem to be mixed in this. the white and black of the smokey stuff holds two emothions and gives a mixed feel depending on what you feel when you look at it. its like those pictures where if you put a word on them they force the person to think that emotion. so you could submitt two copies of this. one with despair written on, one with hope, and both would provoke different emotions from ppl ^_^ hee hee
 Awwww, yay! I was wondering when you were gonna draw that boy again. ^^ I dunno, to me he looks kind of wistful, with his tattered wings floating up to the sky and he wishes he could still use them. He's got that whole 'I miss the sky' look going. Poor little angst-muffin, I loves him so.
 *jumps on the bandwagon with admiring the smoky wing effect* They're all floaty, it's beautiful. ^^ Oh, beautiful!
 and lovely (?) thoughts too!  -- it's only gay if your balls touch. awww... Raziel does awlays have this "I miss the sky" attitude.. no wonder he's so down trond'n ._. (in more ways than one 9,9
 *keeps forgetting that* Dude, if I lost MY wings before I could really use them... I'd go on a revengence kick too. -- -------- I am a witty sig. Please have my babies.  Just...wow. There are no words. I shall now continue to speechlessly stare at this gorgeous piece of art, if no one minds. *does so*
You just had to go and prove my claim of you being the best Raziel-artist in the world, didn't you? x3 I love you. Please marry me. Like, NOW.  *sob* I'm thinking about what it's like for him in there, that he's beginning to lose his identity.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
